Student Testimonials
Taleigh Adrian
From the moment I stepped into the Dulles Airport, to the countless neuroscience lectures, watching a sunset after hiking all day, snacks at night while talking about anything and everything, card games at every opportunity, modifying bacteria DNA, swimming under the stars in the river, exploring DC, crying and saying goodbyes as I again stepped into the Dulles Airport, and every single moment in between – NYSCamp was one of the best experiences of my life.
Alex Gwizdala
The NYSCamp was amazing. I was able to break out of the shell that I lived in at home and experience new things. I formed bonds that will last a lifetime, and have had my perspective broadened to include things I never would’ve considered. I’m so grateful.
Jenny Zhang
Attending the NYSCamp exceeded all of my expectations. Hiking and biking over 50 miles over the course of NYSCamp inspired in me a stronger appreciation for nature and a sense of empowerment. Encouraging lecturers and hands-on activities have increased my curiosity and awareness. I think a little piece of the woods will always stay with me, a reminder to keep searching for new perspectives and adventures at MIT.
Joshua Bishop
The people there and the discussions they facilitated were truly the best and rarest quality of the NYScamp. Everyone at NYSCamp truly cared about learning; each seemed to me to be an honest seeker of truth, and willing to discuss, disagree, criticize, and compromise in the pursuit thereof.
